Southend United completed the signing of Hungarian defender Zoltan Liptak this summer in a deal worth £50,000 from Lombard FC Papa.
Following a trial at the club, the Blues fought off fierce opposition for the 22-year-olds signature, with Liptak rejecting overtures from a team in the Bundesliga to sign a two-year contract at Roots Hall.
And with the option of a further year at Southend, the 6ft 4" centre-half will be keen to impress in England.
