WALKER THE NEXT FREDDY?
Blues winger Mark Gower is backing his new team-mate James Walker to become the next Freddy Eastwood.
The striker, who is currently on loan from Charlton Athletic, impressed again for Southend at Yeovil Town's Huish Park on Saturday.
And Gower believes the 20-year-old is set for a bright future in the game.
"James reminds me a lot of Freddy," said the former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder.
"He comes alive when he gets the ball and he's done ever so well for us so far. He has the skills Freddy did too but he works a bit harder and I think he's going to be a real success for us.
"As a winger you like to have targets like that in the box to aim for and long may it continue because we're going well at the moment."
Eastwood joined Blues from Grays Athletic in October 2004 and inspired the side to two successive promotions by grabbing 65 goals in 134 games before joining Wolverhampton Wanderers last summer.
