ROCHFORD COUNCIL MEETING TONIGHT
Thursday evening will see Rochford District Council convene to discuss Southend United's planning application for a new training facility.
The Development Control Committee will meet to discuss Blues proposal for a four pitch replacement training ground, and car parking facilities, on part of the Fossetts Farm site.
The application is linked to United's plans to relocate to a new 22,000 stadium, which falls under the jurisdiction of Southend Borough Council.
Whilst the meeting isn't to decide whether planning permission should be granted for either project, the merits of both will be discussed in an open forum by the full Council.
Members of the Public are invited to observe the discussions in the Civic Suite at Council's Chambers in Rayleigh.
Proceedings start from 7.30pm and Southend United would greatly appreciate interested parties support on the night.
An agenda for the evening can be obtained from Rochford Council's website here.
