With Southend United's season set to reach a dramatic climax, it is still not too late to share the limelight with the players by booking yourself a place at the club's End of Season Ball.

With the Blues looking to rubberstamp their position in the League One play-offs, hundreds of supporters have already booked their place for this prestigious event.

Incorporating the 2007/08 Player's Player of the Year awards on Sunday May 4th from 7pm until 1am- the day after Southend's final home game of the season against Port Vale.

Following on from the success of last season's Centenary Ball, the occasion will be held at a 500 people capacity marquee at Southend's training ground, Boots & Laces.

Hosted by Blues comedian Terry Alderton, all first team players and Steve Tilson's backroom staff will be in attendance.

A VIP champagne reception is available on arrival, along with a four-course meal, with music and entertainment provided throughout the night.

Southend's Commercial Manager Brian Wheeler said: "We anticipate a capacity attendance once again this year and we urge any interested parties to contact us as soon as possible.

"With the play-offs just around the corner, there is now added excitement, which will make the occasion even more memorable.

"It is the perfect opportunity to meet the entire first team squad of Southend and will be a night to remember."

Tables are for 10 persons with the option to select a player and his partner as your own guest for the night and are available priced at only £640 plus VAT.

Alternatively, individual ticket prices are available at £70 plus VAT per person.
