Southend United Football Club Golf Day

Interest levels are already high for our forthcoming Golf Day which takes place at the Lords Golf & Country Club (formerly The Hannover) in Rayleigh on Wednesday 30th April 2008.

The day will commence from 11am and we will be serving Bacon Rolls and Coffee. We have organised a 'shotgun' start which will be at 1pm, therefore you will need to allow yourselves time to make your way to your starting tee.

Teams will play the Stapleford system of scoring and there will be a prize for the highest points scoring team as well as the top individual scorer. There will also be prizes for the 'longest drive' and 'nearest the pin' and these will be sponsored by the Rendezvous Casino.

The prizes will be awarded at our two-course evening meal which will commence at approximately 6pm. We anticipate that the day will finish between 7-7.30.

We are inviting teams of 4 players and you will have the option of including in your four ball a current Blues 1st team squad member or one of our coaching staff, or if you prefer you can make a team of 4 from your own guests.

The day will be limited to 18 teams and we are, therefore, asking interested parties to contact us as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Currently we have 11 teams confirmed and we would expect the remaining teams to be filled very soon.

The price for a team of 4 is £200+vat and includes 18 holes of golf, bacon rolls and coffee plus a two-course dinner consisting of Steak & Guinness Pie with Seasonal Potatoes & Vegetables followed by Sticky Toffee Sponge with Custard.

Remaining Hospitality

The 2007/08 season is rapidly drawing to its conclusion and an exciting final 3 months are ahead. There are a number of potential 'big' matches to look forward to at Roots Hall and we are expecting large crowds for all future games.

From a hospitality view point we have sold out in a number of our lounges however we do have some availability for our remaining fixtures.
